A Space-Saving Architectural Statement
The Spiral Cellar Kit is a high-capacity wine storage system built from precision-manufactured concrete modules, delivered as a complete kit and engineered to maintain optimal temperature and humidity without a full cellar build-out. Each kit arrives with pre-cast, insulated blocks, integrated ventilation channels, and the structural components required for assembly on site. Depending on the installation option selected at checkout, the system can be assembled by your contractor with guidance from our team, or fully installed by Genuwine Cellars craftsmen for a turnkey, premium finish. This modular approach allows the Spiral Cellar to deliver exceptional performance, refined detailing, and architectural impact with minimal disruption to the home, making it an elegant solution for collectors who want world-class wine storage without the scale of traditional construction.
The Spiral Cellar Kit

HOW IT WORKS
The perfect conditions for your wine to thrive
The Spiral Cellar is designed to recreate the stable, protective environment of a traditional underground cellar, allowing each bottle to mature naturally and be enjoyed at its best.
A natural passive ventilation system maintains ideal temperature and humidity without mechanical cooling. This eliminates vibration, temperature fluctuation, and the risk of dried corks or premature ageing. With no moving parts, the system operates silently, requires no ongoing energy, and introduces no disruption to the ageing process.
The cellar’s cool-to-the-touch limestone concrete absorbs the surrounding ground temperature, just as a traditional cellar would. Fresh, cool air is drawn in through an external intake and naturally settles into the cellar. As denser, moisture-rich air enters, warmer air is gently displaced and vented out through the base, maintaining consistent humidity and airflow.
The result is a naturally regulated cellar environment, quiet, stable, and efficient; engineered to preserve your collection exactly as intended.
Customize Your Spiral
Tailored To elevate your space
Choose the colour & Finish
Define the character of your Spiral Cellar through a carefully considered selection of colour and material finishes. The Spiral Cellar is offered in two refined colourways: Limestone White, delivering a crisp, contemporary expression, and Pebble Grey, offering a deeper, more urban presence.
The experience can be elevated further through premium step and floor treatments, designed to enhance both comfort and visual presence. Hand-finished leather options introduce warmth and tactile refinement underfoot, while architectural-grade materials are selected for durability, grip, and long-term performance.
Every finish is chosen not only for its appearance, but for how it ages over time. The result is a Spiral Cellar that feels intentional, cohesive, and enduring, where material, colour, and craftsmanship come together to create a refined descent into your collection.
Choose the depth
Design for today, with room to grow. When determining the depth of your Spiral Cellar, experience tells us it is always better to allow more capacity than you think you will need.
Even a modest collection expands quickly once the space exists. As a general guideline, clients 6 ft or taller should consider a minimum cellar depth of 2.5 metres to ensure comfortable headroom and ease of movement.
All Spiral Cellars are excavated to a consistent diameter of 2.5 metres.
Depth & Capacity Guide
- 2.0 m depth — 42 bins | Ideal for approximately 350–1,000 bottles
- 2.5 m depth — 54 bins | Ideal for approximately 450–1,300 bottles
- 3.0 m depth — 66 bins | Ideal for approximately 550–1,600 bottles
select lighting & climate control
All Spiral Cellars include an integrated range of advanced LED options is available, including precision-calibrated RGB and RGBW lighting. From warm 3200K tones to cooler architectural whites and daylight settings, illumination can be tuned to harmonize with the surrounding interior and material finishes, creating either a subtle glow or a more dramatic presentation.
Climate control is discreetly engineered into the cellar structure, drawing on decades of preservation expertise. Cooling systems are intelligently concealed, acoustically dampened, and precisely regulated to maintain near museum-grade conditions. This ensures optimal temperature stability while keeping mechanical elements visually and audibly unobtrusive.
Together, lighting and climate control form a unified system that protects the integrity of your wine while enhancing the overall architectural presence of the Spiral Cellar

In general, you need not worry about adapting or enhancing existing or planned foundations. The Spiral Cellar will be encircled with a concrete ring, which gives the cellar its own structural integrity and handles incoming surcharge from adjacent footings. After deposit, your engineer will be provided with all the relevant technical information.
In North America, planning permission for the Spiral Cellar typically is not required if it is installed within your existing home and does not alter the structure significantly. However, local building codes and regulations may vary. Genuwine can assist in navigating these regulations to ensure full compliance.
Our glass doors are crafted with scratch-resistant, toughened glass to maintain their pristine appearance. With minimal maintenance, these doors are designed to stay in excellent condition for many years, ensuring both durability and elegance.
The Spiral Cellar is not considered a habitable space so the cellar does not need to comply with certain regulations, such as requirements for a handrail and the “rise” and “run” of the staircase treads. Investigation into your local building code is recommended.
Considerations for a party wall are applicable if the excavation is planned within 10 ft (≈3 m) of a neighbouring owner’s building or structure. This is generally a straightforward process and is typically not comparable to obtaining planning permission.
It’s encouraged to call early so the Spiral Cellar ties into the project plans. This will reduce duplication of costs and guarantee fit-in with the program.
